The Test of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science, or TEAMS, is an annual competition that pits the top STEM students in the nationa against each other in a breakneck race to solve a problem.
TEAMS is an annual competition that gives students an opportunity to discover engineering and how knowledge in engineering can help make a difference in the world. Students work collaboratively to solve real-world engineering challenges, applying their math and science skills in practical, creative ways.
TEAMS offers:
Team members work in a written competition format in teams of four to eight students competing for competition day, division and state awards.
Part 1 Eighty multiple choice questions, requiring team members to apply math and science knowledge to novel situations. To be completed in 90 minutes.
Part 2 Five tasks to be answered in a short essay format, expanding students' ideas as they explain their ideas for engineering solutions. To be completed in 90 minutes.
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national student organization devoted exclusively to the needs of students engaged in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Open to students enrolled in or who have completed technology education courses, TSA’s membership includes over 200,000 middle and high school students in approximately 2,000 schools spanning 49 states.
